Today's recipe : "Munge Haak"
Ingredients:
Haak(greens)........................1Kg
Munge(kohlrabi-german turnip).....2medisum size
Kashmiri vadi masala.........1tsp
oil...............4tsp
Asafoetida........a pinch
salt..........1tsp
cloves...........3optional
Cooking Method:
Cut the munge in slices. wash Haak leaves and cut them.
In a pressure cooker, heat the oil and add apinch of asafoetida.
Now add 2 red chillies. If you do not want the recipe to be spicy,
remove the seeds from red chilly.
Now add munge and haak leaves and close the lid of pressure cooker.
Keep heated till pressure cooker whistels 2 times.
It is important that haak leaves are pressure cooked.
After 5-10 min remove the pressure cooker lid, and add kashmiri vadi, salt and stir.
Again heat it for 5 min till it boils. Now your munge haak is ready. Serve Hot with rice.
