Today's Recipe
Ingredients:
Aloo(potatos).................4(big) or 8 small round potatos
Yogurt..........................8tsp
Besan powder...............1tsp
Ginger paste..................1/2tsp
Garlic paste...................1/2tsp
Cloves.........................3
Sonf fennel)Powder.....1tsp
Garam Masala.............1tsp
Oil for tadka..............5tsp
Red Chilli Powder.......1and 1/4tsp
Oil for deep fry............2cups
Oil for deep fry............2cups
Cooking Method:
Boil the potatos till they become medium soft. Now turn off the flame and immediately pour cold water on potatos. This will help you to take the peal off easily.
Now take the peal off and cut the potatos into half.
If you use small potatos,then use as whole.
In a separate bowl mix yoghurt with besan powder keep a side.
In a pan add oil and deep fry the potatos with medium heat, till
potatos turn golden color. Remove the potatos from the oil
and keep a side.
In another pan heat 4tsp of oilon low flame, add cloves, and asafoetida.
Fry for 2 minutes and add red chilli powder and stir.
Keep for 2-3 minutes. Now add ginger garlic paste. Keep heated for 5-6 minutes on very low flame.
Now add youghurt mix and stir well. Keep for 5 minutes and add garam masala
and fennel powder and keep stiring for 3minutes.
Add fried potatos to the gravy and add salt and 1cup of water. Cover the lid and heat for 5 minutes and serve hot with rice.
